Additional fees

Where the booking is for more than 4 persons in a 2 bedroom property, 6 persons in a 3 bedroom property or 8 persons in a 4 bedroom property, roll away beds will be provided at an additional cost of $55 per person/per booking. A non refundable booking fee of $16.50 may apply when payment of the deposit is processed for bookings of less than 7 days duration.

 

Air-conditioning

Please check under the specific property to establish if air-conditioning is available. Where available, air-conditioning should be used only when windows and doors are closed to ensure that it works effectively.

 

Airfares

Airport transfers

You can arrange transfers from and to the airport both in your city of departure or in your destination city by contacting Airport Con-x-ion.

 

Arrival/departure times

- Standard check-in time is 2.00 pm or later. If you arrive earlier you may be allowed to leave luggage at the property if it is still being prepared or cleaned. Please check with Housekeeping on 0409 446 614.

- Standard check-out time is no later than 10.00 am in order to allow time for the property to be prepared for the next guests. It may be possible to allow you to vacate the property later than 10am, but this is subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please ensure that request a late check-out when you are making your booking.

 

Baby cots, strollers and high chairs

Baby cots and high chairs are available for hire at the following rates. Please place your order on the online booking form. If more than 1 item is required, please specify that in the Special Requests section of the booking form:

  • Port-a-cot: $55 each per booking
  • High chair: $33 each per booking

 

Balconies

For your safety, please ensure that you observe the following rules regarding the use of balconies. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that your family and guests also observe these rules:

  • A maximum of 6 people are allowed on the balcony at any one time.
  • Do not climb, sit on, push or use strong force against the railings.
  • Avoid pushing, crowding or party behaviour on the balcony.
  • Do not go out on the balcony if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Ensure that all windows and balcony doors are locked before you leave the property.
  • Ensure that young children are not allowed on the balconies unless supervised by a responsible adult.

 

Bathrooms

Most of our properties have 2 or more bathrooms, including an en-suite bathroom. Please check under the specific property for more details.

 

Bed linen & Towels

All properties provide bed linen and bathroom towels. Pool and beach towels are not provided unless specified in the property description.

Booking Your Apartment Online

Bond

The appointed agent and the apartment owner reserve the right to charge you a Bond which is payable by credit card at the time of booking. The Bond is refunded after inspection of the property is carried out at the end of the rental period, less the cost of any repairs for damage caused by you.

 

Car hire

You can now book your hire car through the SunMore Holidays website. Please check the competitive rates on offer under the Cars tab.

 

Car parking

All properties provide free parking for one or more vehicles. Please check under the specific property for more details.

 

Check-in & check-out times

Check-in time is 2.00 pm and check-out time is 10.00 am. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability on your day of arrival/departure and may attract additional charges.

If you are arriving early, you can call Housekeeping (Australia 07 5539 8553/ International +61 7 5539 8553) a day or two before your arrival in order to work out if you can access the apartment earlier on your arrival day. You can usually arrange to leave your luggage in the apartment until it is ready for you, and ask Housekeeping to call you on your mobile when the apartment is ready.

If late check-out is required, please call Housekeeping during your stay in order to ascertain availability and the additional charge.

 

Children

- Proper care and attention must be exercised by the parents or guardians to prevent danger to children from high floor apartments with balconies and swimming pools.

- For the protection of young children, all balcony doors are fitted with security chain locks at least 1500 mm high. Please make use of these locks to ensure that young children are not allowed on the balconies unless supervised by a responsible adult.

 

Clothing

Casual, lightweight clothes are generally worn on Australia’s Gold Coast. A jacket or other suitable outfit may be required in some nightclubs and restaurants. Comfortable shoes are a must for hiking though National Parks.

 

Compliance

The holiday rental of Gold Coast apartments listed here is conducted in accordance with the law, and when applicable is managed by fully licensed real estate agents who are accredited by the REIQ (Real Estate Institute of Queensland) and appointed to manage the properties and receive the rental money on behalf of their owners.

The Act requires real estate agents to bank monies received from all real estate transactions into a trust account that is subject to regular audits. This ensures that your deposit and rental money is protected.

 

Credit card security

Your credit card details are only used to pay for amounts relating to your booking. This information will never be supplied to a third party and will not be used for any other purpose.

 

Damage, breakages, theft & loss

Damage, breakages, theft and loss are the guests’ responsibility during their stay. Guests will be liable for payment of any expense incurred together with all replacements and necessary costs for any damage or loss to the apartment and its contents or the body corporate property.

The appointed agent and the apartment owner reserve the right to charge you a special cleaning fee to cover the reasonable cost of additional cleaning of the property that is required as a result of your occupancy.

The guest authorises the appointed agent and the apartment owner to charge the guest’s credit card for any loss (Including loss of keys), damage or monetary contribution for which the guest is responsible. Details of a valid credit card representing a “Bond” may be taken at the time of booking.

 

Deposit and payment terms

A deposit of 25% is required to secure your booking and must be paid at the time of making the booking by credit card (debit cards not acceptable). The balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to arrival date. A courtesy reminder will be sent to you 5-6 weeks before arrival date.

For bookings made within 30 days of arrival date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

 

Electricity and water

Electricity and water are expensive, so please be considerate to the owners and the environment.

If travelling internationally, make sure that you take applicable plug adaptors for your appliances.

 

Flights

Guests

Only the number of people shown on the receipt may stay in the apartment overnight. Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the appointed agent in advance.

Unless otherwise stated in the individual description, our properties do not have central heating. Properties will usually have some form of heating during the winter months. Please check under the specific property for more details.

Insurance

Travel insurance is advisable to ensure that you are adequately protected. This insurance generally covers you for:

  • Financial loss caused by the involuntary cancellation of your holiday, including airfares and loss of deposit.
  • Damage to or loss of personal belongings.
  • Medical expenses.

It is recommended that you consult your insurance broker or travel agent regarding the type of travel insurance cover suitable for your needs.

Many countries that require a visitor’s visa will require you to have sufficient travel insurance as part of your visa application.

 

Internet Access

Please check under the specific property for more details. Internet cafes are commonly available in most areas of Australia.

 

Keys

Keys can be collected on the day of arrival (between 1:45pm and 9:00pm - Check-in from 2:00pm) from GCHR offices in central Surfers Paradise (Shop 4, Monte Carlo Building, Corner of Orchid & Elkorn Avenues, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217 – Telephone 07 5539 8553).

The office is open from 9am to 5pm - Monday to Friday. Staff members are on call between the hours of 5pm and 9pm - Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm - Saturday and Sunday.

If requested by you in writing, a set of apartment Keys, car park fob and check in instructions will be sent by Express Post to your home address (Australian residents only - no additional cost). When you arrive you will find another set of keys and car park fob in the property.

If you require us to meet you at the property with the keys, please contact us prior to arrival day. A $66 meet and greet fee will apply.

Please leave both sets of apartment Keys and car park fob in the property when you leave and ensure that the property is secure.

 

Kitchen

Most properties have a fully equipped kitchen with granite bench tops, double stainless steel sink, electric cook top, wall oven, range hood, 370 litre refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave.

All properties will have enough Crockery, Cutlery, glasses for the number of guests, but in some cases not all will match or be as one set.

 

Linen

All properties provide bed linen and bathroom towels. Pool and beach towels are not provided unless specified in the property description.

 

Management

The properties listed on this website are managed by their respective owners or by a duly appointed agent. SunMore Holidays is not involved in the management of the listed properties and the listing is based purely on information supplied by the property owner or the appointed agent.

Minimum rental period

Parties and Functions

Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs, etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.

Pets

No pets are allowed unless specified under the property’s facilities.

 

Pool safety

Properties may or may not have pool nets and/or other safety features. Proper care and attention must be exercised by the parents or guardians to prevent danger to children from swimming pools.

Please note that diving into pools is strictly prohibited. Pool depths may vary and diving into these pools can cause serious damage.

The body corporate, SunMore Holidays, the appointed agent and the property owner accept no responsibility and are not liable for any damage or loss to property or any bodily injury that a guest may sustain while in the property.

 

Privacy

We are committed to protecting the personal information we collect from you because we understand the importance of keeping your personal information confidential and secure.

We use your personal information for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and supplying you with a service. Personal information in relation to your booking will not be disclosed to anyone except the accommodation supplier.

Provisioning

All properties are self-catering accommodation. Apart from a small complimentary supply on your arrival, you will be expected to provide the basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries, toilet rolls, cleaning materials, cooking basics, bin liners, etc.

 

Refunds

In the event of the guest desiring to cancel a booking, a refund of the deposit will only be made if the booking is cancelled within 30 days of the booking date AND at least 30 days before arrival date.

No refund will be given for early departure.

Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather or illness. These must be claimed through your travel insurance.

 

Safety

We make every effort to ensure that your property is safe, but you must take responsibility for your own safety and that of everyone in your party whilst on holidays:

  • On arrival, please familiarise yourselves with the property and the grounds. Make children aware of hazards, such as drops, balconies and especially the swimming pool.
  • Proper care and attention must be exercised by the parents or guardians to prevent danger to children from high floor apartments with balconies and swimming pools.
  • For the protection of young children, all balcony doors are fitted with security chain locks at least 1500 mm high. Please make use of these locks to ensure that young children are not allowed on the balconies unless supervised by a responsible adult.
  • Familiarise yourself with the kitchen and ask if you are unsure how to operate any equipment, especially gas. Please report any unfamiliar smells immediately.
  • Please observe the same level of property security as you would at home; always lock the doors and windows when you leave the property.

Sun Protection

Enjoy outdoor activities without the risk of sun damage by wearing a broad-brimmed hat, a shirt with collar and sleeves and SPF 30+ broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen on exposed skin. Try to avoid staying outdoors during the middle of the day when ultra-violet rays are strongest.

Visas

Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your scheduled return date. If your passport does expire within 6 months after your return then you may be denied entry to your country of destination.

Washing machines & clothes dryers

Most properties provide full laundry facilities with washer, dryer, vacuum cleaner and iron. Please follow the instructions for using these appliances as you will be liable for any damage caused by misuse. Guests are expected to purchase appropriate detergents.

 

Water supply

Generally speaking, tap water in Australia is safe to drink. Local authorities may apply restrictions on certain uses of water during periods of water shortages, such as gardening or washing cars.
