Chef Meyjitte Boughenout's specialty is a tasting or degustation menu of several courses. Degustation means to savour. Each dish delights the senses as the epicurean experience flows through seven courses chosen from land and sea with sweets that can only be described as heavenly. The gastronomic journey through presentation, aromas, flavours and textures satisfies the appetite while teasing the palate.

Diners may choose the degustation menu with the sommelier's selection of wines or select from more than 1000 internationally recognised beverages sourced from the world's best winemakers. Choose from the a la carte or degustation menu at dinner Monday to Thursday and at lunch on Friday. Friday and Saturday evenings are reserved for degustation dining. Booking is essential.

Chiangmai Thai Restaurants are in three locations on the Gold Coast, all offering amazing authentic Thai decor and superb food at reasonable prices. Focusing on premium Queensland wines and gourmet food, a visit to Heritage Wines Mount Tamborine is a visit to a by-gone era.

 

The building was originally the Infant Saviour Catholic Church of Burleigh Heads, saved from demolition and re-located to its new home at Mount Tamborine. The building was meticulously taken apart piece by piece, than lovingly restored. To add further grandeur to the elegant surrounds, a sweeping staircase was added, leading to a mezzanine floor which is home to more restaurant seating.

Songbirds' creative culinary team selects the finest ingredients and uses organic produce when possible. Meals are prepared in a fresh, innovative style and served in a beautiful environment. The menu changes frequently to ensure diners enjoy the freshest seasonal flavours. Songbirds in the Forest is fully licensed, diners are offered a selection of local and imported wines, beers, spirits and liqueurs as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Songbirds in the Forest serves lunch from noon every day and dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Tokonoma is a unique venue on Queensland's Gold Coast combining an unusual modern art gallery with a superb green tea café serving original green tea drinks and desserts, marrying Japanese and Australian flavours. Try the Iced Matcha Supreme, a deep green tea "cocktail" made from the same superbly healthful tea as used in Japan's 400-year-old tea ceremony.

The gallery at Tokonoma specializes in minimalist Japanese art but also carries print art, ceramics, and modern Australian art. Tokonoma is situated in a unique natural location just outside the historic village of Mudgeeraba in the Gold Coast hinterland (15-20 minutes from Gold Coast beaches), on the way to the beautiful Purlingbrook Falls at Springbrook.
